Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Buy Me a Matcha ("we") when you use the app. By creating an account you agree to them.
Who can use it
- You must be 18 or older.
- One account per person, with your real first name, real age and photos of you.
- You can't use the app if we've removed you before.
How to behave
Buy Me a Matcha is for meeting people. Don't use it to:
- harass, threaten, pressure or scare anyone, online or in person;
- pretend to be someone else, or post photos that aren't of you;
- post nudity, sexual content, violence or hate;
- sell anything, advertise, recruit, ask for money or send spam;
- share someone else's private information;
- break the law, or help anyone else break it.
If someone does any of this to you, block and report them. A person reviews every report.
What you post
Your profile, photos and messages are yours. You give us permission to store and show them inside the app so it can work, for as long as they're in your account. You're responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it.
Moderation
We can remove content, hide profiles, or suspend or delete accounts that break these terms or put people at risk, with or without notice. If you think we got it wrong, write to us.
Meeting people
We don't run background checks on anyone. Meet in public places, tell a friend where you're going, and leave whenever you want. You are responsible for your own safety and your own choices when you meet someone. In an emergency in Japan, call 110 for police or 119 for an ambulance.
Purchases
- Matchas, passes and the monthly subscription are bought through the App Store or Google Play, under their terms.
- Matcha packs and 7-day and 30-day passes are one-off purchases and don't renew.
- Monthly renews automatically until you cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings, at least 24 hours before it renews.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
- Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription; cancel it in your store settings.
The app itself
We work to keep Buy Me a Matcha running, but it's provided as it is, and we can't promise it will always be available or error-free, or that you'll match with anyone. We may change or stop features.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for the conduct of other users, on or off the app, or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.
Ending
You can delete your account at any time in the app. We can end your access if you break these terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute will be handled by the Tokyo District Court, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
